Adam Meyer - About Me

There are always all kinds of debates on who the biggest star in Vegas is. Well, around this time of year, there is no question about it. His name is Adam Meyer, and he is the sports consultant to the stars. You don't think for a minute that the biggest players in "Send-it-in-city" pick their own games do you? No way! Adam is box office money, and the heavy hitters know it. His client list reads like the front page of Variety.

He’s been in the handicapping business for over 20 years and has made over a million dollars in one year for his top clients. Each week over ten million dollars is waged based on his advice. If there’s an outcome, Adam will show you how to turn it into an income. The only people who don't find him attractive are the sports books. Actually…they hate him, and for good reason. He wins…and still holds the published record of 28 NFL wins in a row…against the spread in 2007.

Adam has also caught the eye of the people in the biz with more than a dozen current radio shows and a weekly TV appearance on Fox Sports. There is a movie role in the works as well as a reality show. Adam isn't a rising star, he's already there.

Look, it's not easy making ten or twenty million a year to hit a ball with a stick, or throw a ball through a hoop, or hit a ball with a bat...and be expected to act like a human being.

After all, all those annoying fans gushing over you, begging for autographs, buying your products…this is not an easy life.

Then there are the endorsements, appearances on TV and an occasional movie cameo. Yet...through it all, these athletes still manage to screw it up.

I can't muster up the empathy for these guys...and gals (let's not forget Miss March, Tonya Harding) who decided to go knee hunting on Nancy Kerrigan… best way to beat the competition is obviously with a bat.

Or you can go Tiger (our centerfold) on us and throw away a fast billion and your family for lack of control.

One of my personal favorites is Two-Gun Gilbert...(Arenas) who thought it was worth 111 million to bring some guns into the locker room...Geez, Plaxico only brought one gun into the club...take that G.

It goes on and on. Andre Agassi, Michael Vick, Pete Rose, John Daly…

The poor things...

If you add up the money they have thrown away, the deficit would almost be manageable. If self indulgence ever becomes a professional sport, these guys could make one hell of a comeback.

Bottom line…God blessed these athletes with exceptional gifts. They should have been a little more gracious about receiving them.

Relationships

Without a doubt, at the end of the day, you are only as good as your word. As people, we are imperfect, in an ever evolving imperfect world.

So more than ever, we must focus on those things which we still control. In my line of work, there is so much at stake...beyond the money.

My clients count on me and my best efforts to make their lives more fun, and financially more secure.

It is a massive responsibility. They tell you never to mix business with pleasure, but the fact is, most of my clients have been with me for the long haul, and have become friends, compounding the pressure to perform. I can live with losing a game, or a client, I have a hard time disappointing a friend.

The first and most important precept in business is customer service. Unlike your doctor, we never disappear and leave someone on call. We know how important it is to have a consistent familiar contact available at all times.

The average tenure of our staff and account executives is over 7 years. We don't look at our client base as Kleenex or something that is recyclable. Our clients, as well as our employees are people, and that's how we treat them.

Relationships, at least successful ones are a two-way street, based on open dialogue and facile communications.

We make it easy for you to reach us…on line, by text...and of course my phone is always on... Relationships.
